It's a long, slow process but eventually I'm behind the wheel of the most expensive truck in the game and have a strong network of drivers beneath me. Once a garage is full of drivers, I'll buy a new one and start adding drivers to that. I never saw the point of giving a driver a top-of-the-line truck or sticking them with a crap truck - both seemed like a waste of money. But I don't plan on upgrading to a top-of-the-line truck until I have a decent little company of truckers.īuy a new Class B (or mid-grade truck) whenever it's financially possible and hire a new driver. I may or may not pimp out that Class B - depends on how beneficial the upgrades would be. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a great game for anyone looking for some relaxing game time. Then I'll work with my Class B (or whatever is next up) until I can afford to hire someone and give them my old Class C. I won't upgrade that truck just make runs until I can upgrade to something with a bit more power (in previous games, this mean going from a Class C to a Class B truck), as the engine in that first truck is going to struggle on grades and that costs time. My strategy is likely going to be similar to my approach to GTS and UKTS:īuy a cheap truck asap (don't forget to save a little bit extra for gas on your first haul). When you say "Get a garage in a bigger city and use that one as your main one, regardless of where you started out", do you mean that you can move your HQ? Or do you mean just use that for hiring drivers? I don't think anyone will have any bulletproof strategy suggestions though unless they come from a beta tester, we are effectively pioneering this new game model of building up and organizing a fleet so it might take some time until the best way to progress is discovered. It's working out for me, the routes are quite varied but still profitable. The DLC adds new cities and roads across Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. It was released on Septemon Steam and Septemas a physical copy. It is the first map of DLC involving map expansions. My strategy is to pick up the highest paying jobs to preferrably whichever cities I haven't yet visited, almost always from the city where my previous job ended so that I don't have to ferry empty to a pickup city. Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East is a map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. I went the "be XP effective" route, specced fragile cargo and long distance hauling all the way, level 9 now and I'm doing 12+ 16+ hour jobs for ~30K EUR. Hiring drivers sadly still lies that way for me, as my truck will be fully fit and customized before then, which means I'm not spending money on anything else besides truck building till level 14 or 16, whichever was needed for the XXL MAN. That's certainly a good tip for the future.
